7th Pay Commission Latest News: The state government has given great news for the government employees. Now there will be a big increase in the salary of these employees (Central Employees Salary Hike), because the state government has announced an increase in Dearness Allowance (DA), Dearness Relief (DR) and House Rent Allowance (HRA). The hike in DA and DR is effective from 1 July 2022. At the same time, the increase in HRA will be considered from January 2023.

The Arunachal Pradesh government has increased the DA of employees and pensioners by 4-4 per cent, which has now increased the DA of employees and DR of pensioners from 34 per cent to 38 per cent. This increase will benefit 68,000 regular employees, while the estimated burden on the state government will be Rs 120 crore.

How much will be the burden due to HRA hike?
Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that House Rent Allowance will be given to all government employees who do not have official accommodation from January 1, 2023. Its estimated annual burden will be around Rs 42 crore. CM Khandu further announced that NPAs will be paid to government doctors.

Doctors will get NPA
Arunachal CMO said that doctors have a big role in keeping the society healthy, due to which the government has decided to give non-practicing allowance to them. This will become effective from 1 January 2023 and this will cost the government Rs 10 crore annually. Doctors will be given NPA under the Seventh Pay Commission.

The central government had recently increased the dearness allowance for central employees to 38 per cent. This is benefiting more than 1 crore employees and pensioners. After the DA hike by the central government, many states including Rajasthan have increased the dearness allowance. However, except for Arunachal Pradesh, no state government has announced any increase in the HRA of the employees.
