Expensive Fish: A rare carnivorous species of fish named Marlin aka Sailor Marlin weighing 550 kg got trapped in a fisherman’s net in Balasore, Odisha’s sea coast. It is said that the remains of this fish are used to make anti-depressant medicines.
The rare fish caught from Balasore in Odisha is said to be a very dangerous type of non-vegetarian fish. Her mouth is sharp like a saw, due to which she can easily kill her prey. Rare fish was found earlier also
This is not the first time that a fish of rare weight was caught off the coast of Odisha. Even before this, fishermen had caught huge fish and became millionaires by selling it. Earlier, a fisherman had caught a 32 kg fish from Chandbali in Bhadrak district. That fisherman had claimed that he had sold that fish for more than 3 lakhs.
A month before this, some fishermen who earned their livelihood by catching fish in the sea became millionaires overnight. Some fishermen of Mohana under Jaleshwar of Baleshwar district had cast a net for fishing. The fate of the fishermen changed after some rare fish got caught in the net. The fishermen brought the fish to Mohana Fish Market and sold it for Rs 35 lakh.
