Second- Who will have the election symbol of the party? Third, whether the Shinde faction is constitutional or not? Chief Justice UU Lalit had constituted a five-member constitution bench, comprising Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice MR Shah, Justice Krishna Murari, Justice Hima Kohli and Justice Narasimha, to hear the matter. The matter was referred to the Constitution of the Supreme Court on August 23 last. The hearing was adjourned thrice. Finally, in the hearing held on September 27, the Constitution Bench of the apex court rejected Thackeray’s application.

Now all eyes are on what the Election Commission decides. After the last hearing of the top court, the Shinde faction had written a letter to the Election Commission, informing about the court’s direction, to take an early decision on the matter.
