D-company Case: Another nefarious intention of the underworld has been foiled by the security agencies of the country. After several days of interrogation, the NIA has arrested Chhota Shakeel’s brother-in-law Arif Abubakar Sheikh alias Arif Bhaijaan and his brother Shabbir Abubakar Sheikh. Both are accused of being involved in the illegal work of Dawood’s D-company in the western suburbs of Mumbai and financially helping to promote terror.
According to the information received from the sources, there was a time when Arif used to be in charge of the operations inside India of his brother-in-law i.e. Chhota Shakeel. Arif was arrested in 2016 by the Anti-Extortion Cell of the Mumbai Crime Branch on charges of extortion. Along with Arif, 9 people were deported from Dubai to India in the year 2006. He was accused of killing Haren Pandya, the then Home Minister of Gujarat in the year 2003. Although he was discharged by the court in this case, after which he was allegedly not in touch with Shakeel and was leading a normal life.
NIA produced both of them in court
The NIA produced both the brothers in the court around 3 pm and told in front of the magistrate that both these accused are associated with D-company. NIA’s counsel further told the court that D-Company is in touch with many terrorist organizations and is preparing to carry out a big terrorist conspiracy in the country. The arrested accused were involved in money laundering for D-company. In the investigation of the case, evidence related to his many suspicious transactions has been found. The arrested accused are in contact with 1993 blast accused Chhota Shakeel and through him route money for D-company. Apart from this, they have also received money from D-Company through hawala. Many such transactions have been found in which clues have been found to send money to them through hawala by D-company.
The NIA team and the investigating officer told Justice Rahul Bhosale about the operation of the D-company in a closed courtroom. On the orders of Justice Rahul Bhosale, the door of the court room was closed for some time. The doors of the court opened back after a while and then Justice Rahul Bhosale asked the accused what they had to say on the allegations against them. The accused said that the allegations against them are false. The accused said in the court that ‘Saare Jahan Se Achcha Hindostan Hamara’
NIA had raided
On Monday morning, NIA conducted simultaneous raids at 29 locations in Mumbai. Out of which 24 bases were in Mumbai and 5 bases were on Mira Road adjacent to Mumbai. The NIA also raided the house of Mohammad Salim Mohammad Iqbal Qureshi alias Salim Fruit, a resident of Grant Road area of Mumbai and also recovered some documents during the raid and then took Salim along with him for interrogation. Salim is very close to Chhota Shakeel due to family ties. Chhota Shakeel treats him like his own son. Salim is married to the younger sister of Chhota Shakeel’s wife. Salim’s father Umar Qureshi used to sell fruits in the Nal Bazar area of Mumbai, due to which Salim came to be known as Salim Fruits. There are cases of recovery registered against Salim.
Apart from this, a team had gone to Mahim area of Mumbai where the house of Suhail Khandwani was raided. Khandwani is the trustee of Mahim Dargah and Haji Ali Dargah in Mumbai. After raiding the house, NIA officials took him to his office in Mahim and there he was also interrogated. NIA is also interrogating a person named Abdul Qayum in this case. Qayyum was an accused in the 1993 blasts case but was later acquitted of all charges by the Special TADA Court due to lack of evidence at the time of trial.
The NIA team also raided Borivali. Where raids were conducted at Ajay Gosalia’s house. Ajay Gosalia is a bookie by profession and is reportedly also close to D-Company. It is accused of money laundering through a hawala operator for D-Company. A team of NIA has also given notice to Abdul Mannan Shaikh alias Mannan Shovda for questioning. Mannan has been an important witness in the 1993 blasts case.
What was NIA FIR?
The NIA told in its FIR that Dawood Ibrahim, a global terrorist, has formed a special unit to terrorize India. Which has made preparations to target the big leaders and businessmen of India. By doing this, they want to spread violence in other cities including the country’s capital Delhi and the country’s financial capital Mumbai. NIA has registered this case against Dawood Ibrahim, Anis Ibrahim Sheikh, Chhota Shakeel, Javed Patel alias Javedh Chikna, Tiger Memon. Please tell that Dawood Ibrahim is an accused in the 1993 blasts in Mumbai and is absconding. Dawood Ibrahim was declared a global terrorist and he is hiding in Pakistan.
