Delhi Crime News: Jail connection has come to the fore in the incident of open firing in Subhash Nagar area. The police claim that the Salman Tyagi-Saddam Gauri gang is behind this incident. Salman Tyagi is lodged in Tihar Jail and he has got this attack done from inside the jail. The Special Cell has arrested a shooter of this gang, who opened fire on Ajay Chaudhary and his brother Yashpal alias Jassa Chaudhary. The name of the accused is Paras (30). The police have recovered the semi-automatic pistol and 6 cartridges used in the crime.
Paras is seen shooting in CCTV
Rajeev Ranjan Singh, DCP of Special Cell said that on May 7, a case of shooting of two people in the car came to light in Subhash Nagar. During the investigation, it was found that Paras, a resident of Dabri area, is also involved in this, who is absconding. The Western Range team of Special Cell got information, after which Paras was apprehended from Pankha Road, Sitapuri Cut on 9 May. He is a resident of street number 4 Sitapuri part to Dabri. A semi-automatic pistol and 6 live cartridges were recovered from it. Police claim that in the CCTV footage of the incident, Paras is seen firing. That’s how he got his identity. He is seen with a pistol in his left hand.
The accused revealed that Salman Tyagi got the attack done
Police claim that the accused revealed during interrogation that he is a sharp shooter of gangster Salman Tyagi and Saddam Gauri gang. These miscreants are in jail under MCOCA. In the investigation of the police, it has come to the fore that there is an old enmity between Salman Tyagi and Ajay Chaudhary, former head of Keshopur vegetable market. Because of this, Salman Tyagi, who was in jail, conspired to kill him. Accused Paras came out of jail on 28 April last month. Under the conspiracy, Paras, Adnan Tyagi and Faisal fired on Ajay Chaudhary and his brother Yashpal on 7 May on the instructions of Salman Tyagi. Both were going to meet a relative at Kalra Hospital. Both were seriously injured by the bullet. After the incident, the three attackers fled from the spot. Both the brothers were admitted to the hospital.
Paras caught with bike without number
Police said that on the intervening night of May 8/9, Paras was going to Sitapuri Dabri towards his house on a bike without a number plate. Then the police caught him. A pistol and six live cartridges were recovered from it. Due to which legal action was taken against him by registering a case under the Arms Act at the Special Cell Police Station.
Police said that the scooty used in the crime was stolen from Sangam Vihar area. Which the police recovered from DDA Park, Village Begumpur. Accused Paras has studied only till the ninth standard. He is originally from Munger Bihar. There are 6 criminal cases registered on this.
It is to be known that in this case, the Western District Police has arrested another person, who is accused of providing scooty to the accused.
