Amarnath Yatra: Union Home Minister Amit Shah called a high-level meeting on Tuesday to review the security preparedness for the Amarnath Yatra. In this meeting, apart from Amit Shah, Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, Union Home Secretary AK Bhalla, CRPF DG Kuldeep Singh and many officials of BSF and Home Ministry attended.
The Amarnath pilgrimage, which is held every year, is being organized after a gap of two years. Due to the outbreak of Corona virus, this trip was postponed for the last two years. This time the Amarnath Yatra is going to start from June 30. Amit Shah called this high level meeting to review its security.
Security forces have completed their preparations regarding the security of Amarnath Yatra. But the incidents in Kashmir during the last few days have forced the security forces to be even more conscious about the safety of the yatra. It is worth noting that the way terrorists are targeting the police and civilians in the valley. So that terrorists can create an atmosphere of fear in Kashmir. Recently, Rahul Bhatt of the Kashmiri Pandit community was shot dead in his office in the Valley. After which there were huge protests in the valley. Since then, minorities in Kashmir have started worrying about their security.

Every year a large number of people reach to participate in the Amarnath Yatra. This time this yatra will run from 30 June to 11 August. Many important decisions are expected to be taken in this meeting to prevent the incidents of targeting of pilgrims and terrorist activities during the Yatra. However, even before the start of the yatra, additional security forces have been deployed in the entire area for the safety of the passengers. Drones, anti-drone technology will also be used in view of the strong security arrangements during the journey. Apart from this, the entire area will be monitored through CCTV cameras.
