YS Jagan Mohan Reddy: The government of Andhra Pradesh has provided compensation amount to the farmers in the state for crop loss. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Tuesday distributed Rs 2,977.80 crore to over 15 lakh farmers across the state. This distribution was made to those farmers who had suffered heavy crop losses during the Kharif season in 2021.

CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy distributed insurance amount to farmers during a program organized at Chennakothapalli in Sri Sathya Sai district. This compensation to the farmers has been done under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and the state government’s ‘Free Crop Insurance’ scheme.

The amount of compensation distributed to the farmers

During the program, CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that ‘Farmers get into trouble due to crop failure due to any reason. Due to this, many times it also puts the state in trouble. In such a situation, taking a revolutionary step, we are directly reaching the amount of compensation to the farmers who lost their crops in one season.

Targeting TDP

At present, during this program, CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy was seen targeting the Telugu Desam Party. He said that ‘the previous government disbursed only Rs 3,411 crore for only 30.85 lakh farmers in its five-year tenure. At the same time, in the last three years under our rule, we have already distributed a total of Rs 6,684 crore to 44.28 lakh farmers under YSR free insurance crops.

Taking the Telugu Desam Party on his target, he said that his government has also paid the dues of the previous government. So that the welfare of the farmers can be ensured by timely payment. During this, the Chief Minister compared herself to the previous government and said that she would not stop her efforts to help the farmers like the Telugu Desam Party government.
