Pakistan News: Pakistan’s famous military commander, Lt Gen Asif Ghafoor has been appointed as the commander of Quetta Corps (XII) of the Pakistan Army. This post was vacant in place of the Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Sarfaraz Ali, who was killed in the helicopter crash. In fact, the top commander of the Pakistan Army, Lieutenant General Sarfaraz Ali, was going by helicopter on August 1 with five other senior officers of his army. Meanwhile, the army helicopter passed through the low-lying areas of  Balochistan. Since then, the helicopter disappeared from the radar of the Pakistan Army. 

Six officers killed

Pakistan Army and Aviation Ministry after a major operation came to know that the helicopter has crashed and all six officers have died in this incident. On the other hand the new commander Ghafoor is known in India because Balakot Air He was the Chief (DG) of ISPR, the media wing of the Pakistan Army, during the strike. He had informed the whole world about India’s air strike through his tweet. When Wing Commander Abhinandan was caught, he was trapped by wrong tweet that two Indian pilots have been caught while one pilot was from Pakistan Army.
