Yediyurappa Meets PM Modi: BJP stalwart BS Yediyurappa in Karnataka arrived in Delhi on Friday, where he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the party’s central leadership. According to the information, during the meeting with Prime Minister Modi in Delhi, the political situation in the state and preparations for the 2023 Karnataka assembly elections were discussed. He also met and discussed with BJP national president JP Nadda and party’s national general secretary BL Santosh.
This is the first visit of former Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa to Delhi after being included in the Parliamentary Board and Central Election Committee of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Yediyurappa met PM Modi
BS Yediyurappa, who reached Delhi, said he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his residence for about 20 minutes and discussed the political situation in the state and the preparations to be done to get a majority in the next assembly elections. Talking to the media after meeting the Prime Minister, he said that Modi will go to Mangaluru on September 2 for an event.

Responding to a question on the statewide tour plan ahead of the elections, Yediyurappa said that it has been decided that all of us i.e. Chief Minister, I and many other leaders will travel across the state under collective leadership. We will cover all the districts. Yediyurappa is also expected to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh today. According to the information, he also has plans to meet Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosabale of the RSS.
Preparations intensified for Karnataka elections?
BS Yediyurappa was appointed to the highest decision-making body of the BJP on 17 August. Ahead of next year’s Karnataka Assembly polls, the move is being seen as an attempt by the BJP leadership to send out a message that the party still has a lot of respect for the tall leader, amid some allegations. The party is ready to use his experience and advice. According to Yediyurappa, PM Modi asked him to focus on strengthening the BJP in Karnataka as well as in other states of the south.
