Commonwealth Games 2022: Today is the eighth day of the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. India has so far won 20 medals including 6 gold in the Commonwealth Games. India remains at the seventh position in the medal tally. A total of 17 gold medals are at stake on the eighth day. India will be eyeing to enter the top 5 of the medal tally by winning as many gold medals as possible today.

However, on Friday, Indian players are not participating in any gold medal event. But from today the wrestling matches are going to start in the Commonwealth Games. Wrestling is a very important event for India in the Commonwealth Games. On Friday, 6 Indian players will take part in wrestling matches. India expects the most from these players.

Indian players will be seen in different events from athletics to badminton, table tennis and knock out matches of lawn balls. Today will also be an important match for women’s hockey. In the semi-final match of hockey, the Indian team will face Australia.
