Indigenous Laser-Guided Anti Tank Missiles: India is constantly trying to strengthen its military strength. Taking another step towards self-reliance, India on Thursday successfully test-fired a laser-guided anti-tank missile. The Laser Guided Anti Tank Missile is capable of making India’s enemies sleepless. Successfully test-fired an indigenously developed Laser-Guided Anti-Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) at a military installation in Ahmednagar, Maharashtra.
Giving information, the Ministry of Defense has said that the missiles destroyed precise targets in two different ranges. The ministry has said that indigenously developed laser-guided anti-tank guided missiles were successfully test fired by DRDO and the Indian Army from Main Battle Tank (MBT) Arjun.
Features of laser-guided anti-tank missile?
DRDO has developed Laser Guided Anti Tank Missile with multi-platform launch capability. At present, this new technique was tested with the 120 mm rifled gun of the indigenous battle tank Arjun. The Laser Guided Anti Tank Guided Missile (ATGM) was successful in hitting the target with complete accuracy. This missile not only kills the nearby target but is also capable of hitting the distant target.
Even armored vehicles can’t survive
Indigenous Laser-Guided Anti Tank Missiles are indigenously developed by DRDO. It is fitted with a Tandem High Explosive Anti-Tank (Heat) warhead. These are very cutting edge. It is capable of destroying an armored vehicle with Explosive Reactive Armor armor. In the present era, it is difficult for any tank or armored vehicles to escape from this missile. This missile can easily attack the enemies and destroy their guns.
