The speed of Kovid infection in Delhi is increasing every day, for the last one week, around 1500 cases of corona have been reported in the capital every day. Along with this, the Kovid positivity rate is also increasing and due to this four districts of Delhi have become Red Zone. East, Central, South and North West districts have recorded an average weekly positivity rate of above 10% in the last one week in Delhi. The South district has consistently seen the maximum positivity rate, while the East district has also seen a huge jump in the positive rate in the last week, which is currently 13.11%.
Looking at the previous figures, the average weekly positivity rate for Delhi in the last seven days was 8.49%. While it was 3.79% in the second week of June and 2.17% in the first week, the average in the last one week has increased by 4.7 percentage points compared to the second week of June and 6.32 percentage points as compared to the first week. During the first week of June, all the districts were in the green zone with an average weekly positivity rate of less than 5%.

Corona positivity rate stood at 7.22% on Tuesday
However, before this, South, East, Central and North West districts remained in the Orange Zone with an average weekly positivity rate of more than 5% between June 8 and 14. The North East district, which has consistently recorded the lowest positivity rate, has seen the lowest increase of 1.31 percentage points. On June 21, 1,383 new cases of corona were reported in Delhi with a positivity rate of 7.22% and one patient died.
