CBI Raid at Sisodia’s House: The CBI team left the house of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia after more than 14 hours. After the raid, Manish Sisodia said, “The CBI team came this morning. They searched my house and confiscated my computer and phone. My family supported them and will continue to cooperate. There is no corruption or wrongdoing, we are not worried. We know that CBI is being misused.”
The CBI team had reached Manish Sisodia’s Delhi residence at 8 am to conduct raids in connection with the alleged scam in the Excise Policy. Apart from Manish Sisodia’s house, the CBI has also raided about 31 places in seven states regarding this matter. Regarding the raid, the CBI said that it has searched 31 places including Delhi, Gurugram, Chandigarh, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Bangalore. During this, objectionable documents, digital records etc. have been recovered.
FIR registered against many people including Manish Sisodia
The CBI has registered an FIR against 15 people including Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia regarding this matter. Apart from these, a case has also been registered against many unknown people. At the same time, regarding this action of CBI, the Aam Aadmi Party has accused the central government of political conspiracy. After the CBI team reached the house in the morning, Manish Sisodia tweeted that, “The CBI team has come to the house. CBI is being controlled from above. We have not done anything wrong, we are not afraid.”
Delhi CM targets center
Delhi CM and AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal targeted the central government saying, “The CBI raid on his colleague’s house was the result of his good performance which is being appreciated globally. CBI raids were also conducted and this time also nothing will come. The day Delhi’s model of education was appreciated and Manish Sisodia’s picture appeared on the front page of America’s biggest newspaper, the Center sent CBI to Manish’s residence. Let us tell you that last month, the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi VK Saxena recommended a CBI inquiry into the alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Excise Policy 2021-22. He had also suspended 11 excise officials in this case.
