Delhi: The Delhi High Court is going to pronounce its verdict on a petition filed by Facebook and WhatsApp in an important matter today. Facebook and WhatsApp have challenged an order of the Competition Commission of India in the court. Let us tell you that in this order of CCI, orders were given to investigate the new privacy policy of the messaging app.

In fact, Facebook and WhatsApp had filed a petition in the Delhi High Court saying that the Competition Commission of India has no authority to hear the privacy policy issued by them. Let us tell you that WhatsApp surprised all Indians by releasing a new privacy policy in January last year. In which it was said that customers will not be able to use WhatsApp properly if they do not accept it.

WhatsApp had filed a petition on privacy policy

After this, the investigation of the privacy policy of WhatsApp was started by the CCI. On this, the company challenged in the High Court saying that the policy is already being considered by the High Court and the Supreme Court. To this, the CCI replied saying that it is not investigating the privacy violations of citizens by this policy.

CCI is keeping an eye on social media

The Competition Commission of India says that it is focusing its investigation on the point that both Facebook and WhatsApp, which have established a monopoly on social media, follow their policy. How much data are you collecting through people? At present, a decision will come on this issue at 10.30 am today.
