Delhi High Court Order for DSSSB: The Delhi High Court...
Delhi High Court Order for DSSSB: The Delhi High Court has directed the Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) to ensure that the candidates willing to wear kada and kripal are asked to reach the examination center one hour before and this information is given to them. Arrived on time. Notice in this regard should be given to them well in advance. A bench of Justice Rekha Palli made it clear that notice should be given to the candidates well in advance so that they do not face any kind of problem.
What is the matter
The bench gave this order during the hearing on the challenge petition of a Sikh woman. Now the next hearing of the case will be on August 02. In fact, a Sikh woman was denied entry to the center for wearing a drapery during an examination of DSSSB (DSSSB Exams).
Against Article of the Constitution –
The woman was not allowed to appear in the PGT Economics (Women) exam held in July 2021. The woman argued through advocates that denial of entry to the examination center on wearing a bracelet is a violation of fundamental rights like Article 25 of the Constitution.
DSSSSB has argued in this case that all the candidates wearing kada and kripal have been allowed to appear in the examination. Provided they reach the center one hour before the reporting time. What turn will this case take next, it will be known only after the next hearing i.e. 02 August.
