The renovation work of the first metro was completed in November 2021 and so far 10 metro trains have been rejuvenated. It is believed that in the next few days the work of improving the condition of 18 more trains will be completed.

What is the difference between old and new metro ,

Actually the metro train of the first phase is very different from the metro train of today’s era. There is neither mobile or laptop charging facility inside the metro train brought between 2002 and 2007. Nor do these trains have the facility of LCD route map screen. At the same time, there was no facility of CCTV cameras in these trains. Apart from this, due to the passage of time, the color of these metro coaches has also faded and the floors have also deteriorated to a great extent.

Tenders issued for 18 trains

Metro management officials say that the life of any train is considered to be about thirty years. In such a situation, many trains on the Blue, Yellow and Red lines are more than 20 years old. Tenders have been issued for changes in about 18 such trains. The renovation work of these trains will be completed at a cost of about Rs 72 crore.
