Delhi Ambedkar University Rohini and Dhirpur Campus: Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia approved a project costing Rs 2306.58 crore to create world-class infrastructure for Ambedkar University, Delhi’s Rohini and Dhirpur campuses in the Expenditure Finance Committee meeting. After the preparation of these two campuses, 26 thousand students will be able to take admission in various courses here. Regarding this, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that the Delhi government is focusing on creating such innovative educational spaces in Delhi, which can help the students to learn better and achieve their goals faster. He said that ultra-modern facilities would be developed in the new campus of Ambedkar University to meet all the educational needs of the students.

Deputy CM Manish Sisodia said that 2.5 lakh children pass out of schools in Delhi after passing 12th, but despite having talent and ability, only one lakh of these children get admission in any university. Taking cognizance of this, the Delhi government has started increasing the capacity of its universities. In this direction, the Delhi government is getting two new campuses of Ambedkar University ready. He told that the present number of students of Ambedkar University is more than four thousand. The same, after the formation of two new campuses in Dhirpur and Rohini, 26 thousand more students will be able to take admission here.

Rs 1107.56 crore set up in Rohini campus
The Rohini campus of Ambedkar University will be built at a cost of Rs 1107.56 crore. This campus will be spread over 40 acres and will have more than 10 thousand seats. At the same time, Dhirpur campus will be built at a cost of Rs 1199.02 crore. The area of ‚Äč‚Äčthis campus will be 49 acres and more than 16 thousand students will be able to take admission in various courses here. Various types of residential units in both the campuses including multi-story academic blocks, convention block, health-centre, auditorium, MLCP, administrative block, library block, amphitheater, guest house, separate hostels for girls and boys. will also be constructed.

Highlights of the new campuses of Ambedkar University-
Both these new campuses will be equipped with state-of-the-art energy efficient facilities. The campus will be self-sustainable net zero energy campus with GRIHA- 5 star rating accreditation.
