Delhi University’s Shraddhanand And Hansraj College IAS Coaching: Two colleges of Delhi, Shraddhanand and Hansraj (Delhi Swami Shraddhanand ans Hansraj College) have come under the eyes of Delhi University for giving IAS coaching. Out of these, where one college has started giving coaching from one year, the other college is preparing to give coaching from this year. Hansraj College in association with a private institution is giving coaching since last year. On the other hand, Shraddhanand College has released the notification for this year’s admission. The Academic Council of DU has recently sent notices to these colleges in this regard.
The inquiry will sit on the colleges –
In this regard, the Dean of Colleges of the University, Balram Pani has said that the matter will be investigated as colleges are not allowed to do so. According to the notification released on the website of Hansraj College, the amount of fees varies depending on the percentage of class 12. The minimum fee for a three-year coaching program is Rs 75,000 and the maximum is Rs 1,50,000.
What do the officials have to say?
According to the PTI report, while the principal of Hansraj College could not be contacted about this, the principal of Shraddhanand College says that this decision was taken by the college itself, which was not informed to the university.
At the same time, Balram Pani, who talked about setting up an inquiry committee, says that these are government funded colleges which have no right to provide private coaching. Even if they have to give coaching, then the fee cannot be charged from the students in return.
