Cricketers on Umran Malik: Ever since the strong performance of young fast bowler Umran Malik in IPL 2022, there has been a demand for him to be included in Team India’s playing XI. He was included in the Indian squad for the T20I series against South Africa but could not make it to the playing XI. He remained sitting on the bench throughout the series. Now he is on a tour of Ireland with the Indian team. Before the start of the T20 series between the two teams, once again there has been a voice to give Umran Malik a chance to play. This voice has been raised by two former India cricketers Roger Binny and Dilip Vengsarkar. Both the former players were seen talking about the inclusion of Umran Malik in the T20 team in a conversation during the launch of a book based on the 1983 World Cup.

Roger Binny said, ‘Umran Malik should be given a chance because he has proved himself that he is very fast. If you have seen him bowling some yorkers in the IPL then you must have felt that they were bowled with fierce force. So you can’t keep such a young player out for so long.

‘Umran should be in T20 World Cup squad’
Dilip Vengsarkar wants to see Umran Malik in the T20 World Cup squad. He says, ‘I hope that he (Umran Malik) will be in India’s T20 World Cup team. He has done very well in IPL and he deserves a chance as he was seen as the best bowler in this format. I hope that he will be included in the flight of the T20 World Cup team and I am also sure that if he gets a chance, he will also do well.

Vengsarkar also said that he is young and ready to move forward. The player who is in the rhythm, you should give him a chance. He is young, eager to play and has a hunger for success.
