Plants will be delivered home
The Collector directed the officers that saplings would be made available in all the zone offices of urban bodies from where people would be able to take saplings for themselves. Along with this, people will also be able to take saplings from the forest nursery. Along with this, the facility of providing saplings will also be given by the Forest Department on call. The Collector said that people are more interested in fruitful plants. For this, keep more number of fruit plants ready. He said that prepare for this in the next one week. The Horticulture and Forest Department should estimate the number of plants to be planted in the Maha Abhiyan in the next one week. Ask for this information from the departments and NGOs, industrial groups etc. who want to plant saplings.
Planning should be done in every gram panchayat, plantation should be done on the side of major roads
The Collector instructed the District Panchayat CEO Shri Ashwini Devangan to plan for plantation in every Gram Panchayat. He said that plants like munga should also be planted in Anganwadis. Along with this, he also gave instructions for plantation in such roads, on the banks of which plantation has not been done till now.
