New Delhi: The Education Ministry on Wednesday issued guidelines for schools to deal with the scorching heat, including relaxation in dress rules and changes in timings.

The education ministry’s guidelines have asked schools to revise class timings and reduce school hours each day. It said that schools can also relax the dress rules and use of canvas shoes may be allowed in place of leather shoes.

The ministry said that schools should ensure that fans are running properly, as well as make alternative arrangements for electricity. Let us tell you that due to the scorching heat in different areas of the country, people have been affected a lot. Due to the scorching heat at the end of April, the temperature in many parts of Delhi had gone up to 46 – 47 degree Celsius.

16 It may rain in Delhi after May
IMD senior scientist RK Jenamani has said that from May 13 to 14, heat wave conditions may develop in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana. Another active Western Disturbance is approaching around May 16, and after that there is a possibility of rain in Delhi.

Jenamani said, “Today the temperature is 44 to 45 degree Celsius at about 7-8 stations in West Rajasthan and Vidarbha. Heat wave is prevailing and it will continue for next 3-4 days. Heat wave conditions are likely to prevail over West Madhya Pradesh for the next 3 days.
