PM Modi in G20 Summit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Bali, Indonesia to attend the 17th G-20 Summit. Addressing the closing ceremony of the G-20 Summit on Wednesday (16 November), PM Modi said that he congratulates Indonesian President Joko Widodo and congratulates him on the efficient leadership of the summit. PM Modi congratulated the G20 community for the ratification of the Bali Declaration. India will try to take forward the commendable work of Indonesia during its G20 presidency.

PM Modi further said that it is a matter of pride for India that it is taking the presidency of G20 on the holy land of Bali. India and Bali have a very ancient relationship. India is taking the responsibility of chairing the G20 at a time when the whole world is grappling with economic challenges, geo-politics conflicts and pandemics like Corona. At such a time, the world looks towards G20 with hope. PM Modi said that India’s G20 presidency will be action oriented. He said that it will be our endeavor that the G20 work like a global prime mover in the next one year to envisage new ideas and accelerate collective ideas.
Women’s participation is essential in global development
During his address, PM Modi also expressed his concern over the increasing pressure on the environment and urged friendly countries to work together on its solution. PM Modi said that it is the responsibility of all of us to take the benefits of development to all the people. PM Modi said that global development is not possible without the participation of women. We have to maintain priority regarding the needs of women in our G20 agenda. Without peace and security, our future generations will not be able to take advantage of economic growth and innovation in technology.
Need to give strong message for world peace
PM Modi said in his address that G20 will have to give a strong message for peace. All these priorities are fully included in the theme of India’s G20 presidency, One Earth, One Family, One Future. It is a matter of pride for every Indian to assume the presidency of G20. We will organize G20 meetings in the cities of our states.
