The case is of Sindhi Colony of Gaurela police station area. The victim Asha Gupta, a resident of Sindhi Colony, had lodged a report at the Gaurela police station. In the complaint, the victim had told that on the morning of February 16, she was coming back to her house from Gaurela Bazar. During this, three unknown persons were found in front of Shivam Lodge. The goddess who took two and a half tola’s gold chain worn around her neck, on the pretext of walking and worshiping, took away the suffering. Whose cost was about one lakh twenty thousand.

On this the police have registered a case against unknown accused. During the investigation, information was received from the informer that the gangs of Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, cheat on the pretext of goddess wrath and worship. Before this, an accused of this gang, Ayub Hasan, a resident of UP, has also been lodged in Raipur jail. On interrogation, the accused in the case were identified as Rafaqat Ali, Parvez Ali, resident of UP and Islam Mian, resident of Uttarakhand, for carrying out this incident.

Police arrested an accused
After this, the police team arrested the accused in Tarbiatpur, UP. But these accused were not found in the village. During interrogation of the villagers, it was found that these accused are of nomadic species. Do not live in the village. The team collected technical evidence in relation to the accused and arrested one of the accused, Parvez Ali, from Panipat district of Haryana. The accused confessed to committing the crime during interrogation. Whereas 2 other accused are being traced.
