Ghulam Nabi Azad Resigns: Senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad has resigned from all party posts. Azad has sent a five-page resignation letter to Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi. However, in the meantime, information is coming out that Azad will form his new political party. Former Jammu and Kashmir minister and senior Congress leader GM Saroori made a big statement about Azad and said that he will not join BJP, but he will soon form a new political party of his own. Many of his supporters have resigned. Azad has been a big leader, he gave his 50 years in the Congress.

In fact, giving a big blow to the Congress, Ghulam Nabi Azad has said in his resignation that he has severed all ties with the Congress. Recently, he left the post of Jammu and Kashmir campaign committee chief after being nominated by the party.

Proxy is being used to take over the leadership- Azad
Ghulam Nabi Azad, in his resignation letter, blamed Rahul Gandhi for ruining the party, alleging that for the post of president, he would choose a person who would just remain a puppet and take all the decisions behind the scenes on his own. Azad alleged that G-23 leaders, who demanded reforms in the party in 2020, were abused, humiliated and defamed in the Congress Working Committee meeting.

In his resignation letter, he said, “Unfortunately, the situation in the Congress party has become such that now proxy is being used to take over the leadership of the party. This experiment will surely fail. The party is thus ruined.” That the situation has now gone out of hand. Besides, the ‘elected president’ will be nothing more than a puppet.” He said that Congress has given place to BJP at the national level and regional parties at the state level.

Allegations against Rahul Gandhi without writing name
Without naming Rahul Gandhi, he alleged, “All this happened because in the last eight years the party leadership tried to put a non-serious person at the top.” The veteran leader alleged that on the instructions of the AICC-run troupe, a fake funeral procession was taken out in Jammu and he was personally welcomed by AICC general secretary and Rahul Gandhi’s supporters for this indiscipline.

“The same troupe then instigated its goons to attack the residence of Kapil Sibal, a former minister, who was defending you and your family members in the courts on lapses,” Azad wrote in the letter. He said that the only crime of the 23 senior leaders who wrote this letter out of concern of the party is that they explained the reasons for the weaknesses of the party and its remedies.
