Gyanvapi Masjid Case: An important hearing was held in the Supreme Court on Tuesday regarding the Gyanvapi Masjid dispute. The Supreme Court has said in its order that it will hear all the parties on May 19. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta appeared on behalf of the UP government on Tuesday. He had sought time till yesterday to share the complete information with the Supreme Court. After which the Supreme Court has given the date of Thursday.

Ahmadi, the lawyer for the Muslim side, spoke of a one-sided hearing on the Varanasi court on Tuesday. At the same time, there was talk of not listening to the Muslim side properly. On which the Supreme Court said that it will order the Varanasi Court to hear all the parties properly. However, he has not given any such order to the court yet. It is possible that after the hearing on 19th, the SC will give some direction to the Varanasi Court.
In its order, the SC directed the DM to make arrangements for the security of the Shivling found in the mosque. Along with this, the restriction on the number of Namazis in the mosque was also abolished. When the hearing will be held on 19th, the SC can give a detailed order after hearing everyone’s arguments.
