Kuldeep Bishnoi Joins BJP: After joining the BJP, former Congress...
Kuldeep Bishnoi Joins BJP: After joining the BJP, former Congress leader Kuldeep Bishnoi made songs in the glory of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He told the reason for joining BJP to be influenced by PM Modi. He described Modi as the “best” Prime Minister of India who is working for the progress of the country and the poor. On this occasion, Bishnoi said that the Congress has completely separated from the ideology of Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi.
“If the Congress has to take on the BJP once again, the party’s ideology has to be revived,” Bishnoi said. Kuldeep Bishnoi has been a four-time MLA and two-time MP from Haryana. Today he joined BJP along with wife and former MLA Renuka Bishnoi.
‘Joined BJP unconditionally’
Bishnoi took the membership of the party in the presence of Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, party general secretary Arun Singh, Rajya Sabha member Anil Baluni and Haryana BJP unit state president Om Prakash Dhankhar at the BJP headquarters in the capital. On this occasion, Khattar welcomed the Bishnoi couple to the BJP and said that Kuldeep was in constant touch with Bishnoi and he supported the BJP in the Rajya Sabha elections. He claimed that Bishnoi has joined BJP without any condition.
CM Manohar Lal Khattar expressed this hope
Bishnoi is the son of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal. Khattar said that Bishnoi joining BJP will benefit the party. He expressed hope that the way Bishnoi has joined BJP, in the same way BJP will also be absorbed in him. Welcoming him into the BJP family, Dhankhar said that BJP Rajasthan including BJP Haryana will also benefit from the prominent leader of Bishnoi society. On the occasion of joining the BJP, Bishnoi said that he and the BJP have been with each other. He said that for three years his Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) had an alliance with the BJP and during this time the alliance broke down due to some differences, but he never had any “discrimination” with the BJP.
Bishnoi and his father Bhajan Lal formed the Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) in 2007 after Bhupinder Singh Hooda was made the chief minister after the Congress victory in the state in 2005. The HJC later allied with the BJP and two other parties and contested the 2014 Lok Sabha elections in Haryana together. However, the alliance broke before the assembly elections. He also praised Khattar fiercely and said that despite being the Chief Minister of Haryana for eight years, he is clean and there is no allegation.

Significantly, Bishnoi was already angry with the Congress party. He had taken a rebellious stance earlier this year after he was not appointed as the chief of the Haryana unit of the Congress. After this, Congress removed Bishnoi from all party posts due to ‘cross voting’ in the Rajya Sabha elections held in June. Bishnoi, a 53-year-old MLA from Adampur seat in Haryana’s Hisar district, on Wednesday resigned from the assembly membership. Former Haryana Chief Minister late Bhajan Lal’s younger son Kuldeep Bishnoi is breaking ties with the Congress for the second time. After separating from the party, he was again associated with the Congress about six years ago.
