Regarding this matter, the team said that Mohit, a resident of Faridabad, filed a complaint in Karnal, alleging that the excise officer in Gurugram demanded Rs 7 lakh from him in the name of issuing GST number for the business of building material. is.
Mohit alleged that Inspector Sumitra Godra called him to his office on Monday with token money of Rs 2 lakh. After this, a special team from Karnal along with Gurugram Vigilance team reached the spot and caught Sumitra Godara red handed while accepting the bribe. Inspector Sumit Kumar of the Vigilance team said that Mohit had applied for the GST number in April to work as a building material supplier. Once his application was rejected, he applied again.
