Amarnath Yatra 2022: After two years, a high-level meeting was held in the Union Home Ministry today regarding the security review of the Amarnath Yatra, which is going to start from June 30. In the meeting, special concern was expressed in view of the possible drone attack during this visit. Union Home Minister Amit Shah himself can take a security review meeting before the start of the yatra.

In the security review meeting held in the Union Home Ministry today regarding the Amarnath Yatra, in addition to the officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Director General of Police Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CISF) besides Border Roads Organization officers and army officers besides BSNL. Officers also attended. The meeting was presided over by Union Home Secretary Ajay Kumar Bhalla. Earlier, the Union Home Secretary had held a review meeting in this regard in Kashmir on 15 April. After that, on May 11, a security review meeting regarding the Amarnath Yatra was taken by the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha in Kashmir. After this, a meeting was called in this regard in the Union Home Ministry today.

The aspects of terrorist threats and threats were discussed

According to Home Ministry sources, the aspects of terrorist threats and threats to the Yatra were discussed during the meeting. Along with this, how these threats and threats can be dealt with, there was also a discussion about those measures. Sources said that during the meeting, special concerns were expressed about possible drone strikes during the yatra. Along with this, it was also discussed that to deal with these attacks, an anti-drone system can also be installed there.

Clearly instructions were given in the meeting that since this yatra is going to happen after 2 years, terrorist organizations will try to disturb the yatra in any way. Therefore, special care should be taken on the mountains connecting between the journey and the mountainous roads coming in between. Before the start of the journey, instructions were given to take special vigil at all the borders. Along with this, the suspects were also asked to be arrested. The Border Roads Organization and BSNL were instructed to be prepared to deal with any emergency situation that may arise during the journey.

Sources said that 120 to 125 companies of paramilitary forces have been asked to be deployed during the yatra. In the coming time, this number can be increased or decreased. Sources said that before the commencement of the Yatra, Union Home Minister Amit Shah can also hold a security review meeting regarding the Amarnath Yatra.
