ED Raid In Hyderabad: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has taken action against illegal casino businessmen in Hyderabad. The ED raided the premises of casino dealers and agents at eight different places in Hyderabad in connection with the violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA). Acting against the organizers and agents of the casino, the ED conducted raids for 18 hours, an official said. According to the ED, the alleged hawala transactions were also investigated in this raid.
According to ED sources, it is alleged that Madhav Reddy, Praveen Twitch and several others from Hyderabad are allegedly organizing high-stakes gaming events in Nepal. According to sources, the ED conducted searches in several areas in the city, including the residences of Madhav Reddy and Vinay Nagar Colony Praveen Chikoti in Bowanapalle.
What happened in ED’s action?
It is being told that agents organized special flights from Hyderabad airport to Bagdogra airport for casino players and ‘All In’ was organized at Casino Vegas by Big Daddy at Hotel Mechi Crowne Jhapa. This program was organized from June 10 to June 13 in a town located near Siliguri on the Indo-Nepal border. It is alleged that money was paid to the winners through hawala transactions. However, no official information was given about what the ED has seized in the raid.
