India vs West Indies: The last two T20 matches between India and West Indies on 6 and 7 August will be Florida. The decision has been taken after both teams obtain their visas to the United States. A Cricbuzz report said that USA visas were obtained for some players and support staff of both the teams in several hours following the intervention of Guyana President Irfan Ali.

Cricket West Indies (CWI) President Ricky Skerritt thanked Ali, saying, “It was a timely and impressive diplomatic effort by His Excellency.”

The report further states that players without USA visas were sent to Georgetown, the capital of Guyana. After the third T20 in St Kitts, the process for interviews at the US Embassy was completed on Tuesday night.

According to the report, “Among those who attended the interview were India captain Rohit Sharma and head coach Rahul Dravid. In fact, 14 of them were among Indian players who did not have travel clearance.”

“Ravindra Jadeja, R. Ashwin, Dinesh Karthik, Ravi Bishnoi, Suryakumar Yadav and Kuldeep Yadav, among others, have reached Miami in the meantime. They will be accompanied by other teammates,” the report said.

Skerritt further said, “Indian players can fly only tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon. All visa applications have been approved but passports are not to be returned till this (Wednesday) afternoon. CWI could have done He’s done.”

India are currently leading the five-match series 2-1, with the next two matches scheduled on Saturday and Sunday at Central Broward Park in Lauderhill, Florida. India has played T20 matches at this venue in 2016 and 2019.
