Railway News: Since the start of Corona Pandemic, there have been many major changes in Indian Railways. Railways has stopped many facilities available before Corona. This includes the discount on train tickets for senior citizens to the dynamic fare charged on premium trains like Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto. Recently, the question was asked to the government in Parliament whether the government will abolish the system of dynamic fares to reduce the fares of railway premium trains like Shatabdi, Duronto etc.?
Railway Minister replied in Parliament
Responding to this question, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said that the government is currently not considering withdrawing the dynamic fare ie flexi fare policy. In such a situation, it became clear that at present no decision has been taken by the government regarding this fare and in such a situation, the passengers will not get the relief as at present.
What is Dynamic Rentals?
Dynamic fare is a system through which the fare is fixed on the basis of the booking of the seat in the train i.e. the one who makes the booking first will have to pay less fare. As soon as 10 percent of the seats in the train are filled, the fare will increase by about 10 percent. In such a situation, the fare will increase with the filling of seats. This arrangement has been implemented by the Railways for premium trains like Duronto, Shatabdi, Rajdhani etc. This system was implemented by the Railways in the year 2016. This system is similar to flight fare.
decrease in the number of passengers
Giving information in the Parliament, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that since the beginning of the Corona period, there has been a steady decline in the number of passengers traveling in the train. Along with this, the Railway Minister also told that the fare in Flexi Fare System in premium trains is less than the normal fare. In such a situation, only the passengers benefit. Along with this, there is a continuous growth in the aviation sector in the country. Nowadays people are preferring to travel by flight.
