Jobs In Railways: Railways will give government jobs to 1,48,463 people in the next one year. Railways will see the biggest recruitment drive in the next one year. Earlier in the last 8 years, on an average, the Railways had hired only 43,678 people. In fact, Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has reviewed the status of human resources in all the departments and ministries, after which he has asked all the departments and ministries for 10 lakhs in the next one year. An order has been issued to give government jobs to the people, the information of which was tweeted by the Prime Minister’s Office.
25.75 percent posts are vacant
The Department of Expenditure in its annual report on Pay and Allowance has said that as on March 1, 2020, a total of 31.91 lakh government employees are employed while the number of sanctioned posts is 40.78. is lakh. That is, 25.75 percent of the posts are lying vacant at present. Of these, 92 percent posts come in the Railways, Defense (Civil), Ministry of Home Affairs, Posts and Revenue Department. On an average, Railways has given 43,678 jobs annually.
Railways has given government jobs to 3,49,422 people between 2014-15 to 2021-22, which makes an average of 43,679 annually. Now the Railways is preparing to give government jobs to 1,48,463 people in 2022-23. Railways has abolished 72,000 posts out of the proposed 81,00 posts in the last 6 years. Most of these posts are for C and D category posts. Due to technology and automation, these posts have been abolished.
8,72,243 posts of central government are vacant
The government has decided to make 10 lakh new recruitment in one and a half years. But let us tell you, 8.72 lakh posts are lying vacant in different departments of the central government. According to the information given by Jitendra Singh, Minister of State in the Ministry of Personnel and Prime Minister’s Office in the Parliament on behalf of the government on February 3 this year, according to the information given in the Rajya Sabha, till March 1, 2018, a total of 6,83,823 posts were lying vacant in the Central Government Departments and Ministries. As of March 1, 2019, 9,19,153 posts were lying vacant in the government and as on March 1, 2020, 8,72,243 posts were lying vacant in government ministries and departments. Mainly three recruiting agencies Staff Selection Commission (SSC), UPSC (UPSC) and Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) recruits and removes vacancies. These three agencies have recruited 38,827 people in the last three years, 2018-19, 1,48,377 in 2019-20 and 78,264 in 2020-21.
