Jharkhand: Will the chair of CM Hemant Soren survive or go? Governor will take a big decision today on the recommendation of the Election Commission

What is the decision of the Election Commission, the information about this has not reached the CM residence yet. Governor Ramesh Vaish can take a big decision today regarding the recommendation of the Election Commission. According to the information received, Hemant Soren has been found guilty of violating Section 9A of the Representation of the People Act, 1951. Therefore it is recommended to cancel their subscription.

Why the threat to Soren’s chair ?
BJP delegation alleged in February 2022 that Soren had taken a mining lease in his name at Angra in Ranchi. Therefore, there was a demand to cancel his assembly membership. The case pertains to mining leases linked to CM Hemant Soren and the stake of his and his close associates in shell companies.

No threat to the coalition government
The coalition government does not see any threat at the moment if Chief Minister Hemant Soren leaves the chair. Here, apart from 30 MLAs of JMM, the government has the support of about 50 MLAs including 18 Congress MLAs and one Rashtriya Janata Dal MLA. On the other hand, the main opposition BJP has a total of 26 MLAs in the 81-member assembly, while its ally AJSU, apart from two MLAs, has been generally supported by two other MLAs. In such a situation, he has the support of maximum 30 MLAs including BJP and allies.
