Chhattisgarh News: Taking a major action in Chhattisgarh’s Kondagaon district, police on Wednesday seized a bag full of notes from a four wheeler. Around Rs 80 lakh was being illegally carried in a TUV car by two persons. Neither of the two people in the vehicle had any documents related to the cash amount. The police confiscated the bag and the vehicle full of notes and arrested the accused.

Giving information, Kondagaon SP Divyang Patel said that the Farasgaon police had received secret information that Rs 80 lakh was being illegally transported in a white colored TUV car. After getting the information, vehicles were checked by the police team by putting MCP near Farasgaon on National Highway 30. During the investigation, a search was done in the Mahindra TUV car of Uttar Pradesh Passing and during the search a bag full of notes was recovered from a chamber built in the rear seat of the car. The police found Rs 80 lakh cash in counting the amount of the bag, after which the police demanded documents related to the amount from the driver and conductor of the vehicle. Due to lack of any documents related to the money, the police took action and confiscated the vehicle along with the money. Simultaneously, both the accused were also arrested.

Investigation is going on even though there is a wire of Naxalites

Kondagaon SP Divyang Patel told that both the arrested accused are from Gujarat. Those who were going to Uttar Pradesh via Bastar in Chhattisgarh with cash money from Hyderabad. During interrogation, the accused have not given any statement regarding this amount, due to which the police, taking action on them, sent the accused in remand. Money and vehicle have also been confiscated. According to the SP, the police is continuously investigating this matter and it is also finding out from where did this money come. Due to getting such a huge amount in one vehicle, investigation is also being done in this aspect by connecting it to the urban network of Naxalites.
