UP News: Drinking water will be available from pipeline to the houses of 560 villages of Lalitpur district with the very ambitious ‘Har Ghar Nal Yojana’ of the Central and State Government. Under this scheme Rs 1345 crore will be spent in the district. Drinking water will be provided to these villages under 15 village clusters. About 60 to 65 villages have been kept in each village group. Under this scheme well, overhead tank and 15 plants will be set up in the village cluster.
Drinking water problem in 17 dam district
Under the Kachroda Village Group Drinking Water Scheme of Lalitpur, pure drinking water will be provided to about 60 villages, and taps will be installed in about 25 thousand houses from this plant. About Rs 175 crore is estimated to be spent in the Kachroda Village Group Scheme. District Lalitpur is said to be the city with maximum number of dams. There are about 17 dams here, but still the villagers here were not getting pure drinking water. When the beneficiaries of this scheme were asked about it, they said that this is a good scheme and we will get pure drinking water from this scheme. Also, now we will not have to go to hand pumps and wells for water.
On the other hand, Lavkush Tripathi, the nodal officer of ‘Har Ghar Nal Yojna’ Namami Gange, said that under this program 560 villages of Lalitpur district would be benefitted. Presently the estimated cost of this scheme is 1345 crores and we have 15 village cluster drinking water schemes. Under that we will provide water to every house.
