Nagpur: Maharashtra Congress President Nana Patole on Wednesday said all constituents of the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance should be taken into confidence before drafting the ward composition for civic polls. Expressing the party’s disappointment over the ward structure in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation, the Congress leader said this to reporters in Nagpur.
Patole said, “When there is a coalition government, it is expected that the coalition parties together will draft the structure of the ward. When we are together, it is not right to force a friend to bear the loss. The office bearers have expressed their dismay.”

will have to approach the court
Shiv Sena, NCP and Congress are the main parties in the Maha Vikas Aghadi alliance. Patole said that the party has demanded that representation should be given to two members from each division (ward), but now there will be three-member wards. Be it Mumbai or Pune, if some parties of the MVA will draft the structure of the ward as per their convenience, then we will have to approach the court on this issue. Municipal elections are going to be held in many major cities in the state including Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and Thane.
