Maharashtra Political Crisis: Amidst the ongoing upheaval in the politics of Maharashtra, there is a cloud of crisis on the Uddhav government. The way the number of rebel MLAs is increasing, the question is on the tongue of the people whether the Uddhav government running with Congress-NCP will survive or fall? Rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde claimed that 39 MLAs are present there with him in Guwahati and they can get the support of 45 to 50 MLAs. On one hand, while the number of rebel Shiv Sena MLAs who are in Guwahati is going to increase further, on the other hand Uddhav and Sharad Pawar are trying their best to save the government. On the other hand, there is speculation that there may be talks between the BJP and Shinde on the new equation. Let us know what the equation of seats says.

What does the equation of seats say

The number of members in the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly is 287. There should be support of 144 seats for majority. The Maha Vikas Aghadi government has the support of 169 MLAs. On the other hand, the opposition has 113 MLAs. This includes 106 of BJP, 1 of RSP, 1 of JSS and 5 independents. Meanwhile, if Eknath Shinde joins BJP with 30 MLAs, then the Uddhav government may come down to a minority. At present, Shiv Sena has only 20 MLAs left in the assembly. Earlier Shiv Sena had 55 MLAs but now only 20 MLAs are left in their support.

On the other hand, NCP has managed to keep its 53 MLAs engaged. So Kamal Nath has taken over the march on behalf of the Congress and he has also managed to keep his 44 MLAs united for the time being. On the other hand, there are 106 BJP MLAs in the other camp, who are currently engaged in making a different strategy. With Shinde, BJP currently has 35 MLAs at the Radisson Blue Hotel in Guwahati. However, according to the information received, some more MLAs can also join them soon. Shinde claims that there will be support of around 46 to 50 MLAs. At the same time, with the support of other 20 MLAs, this figure reaches 161 against the government. And the government gets the support of 117 MLAs and the figure of 144 is needed to form the government.

Independents will have an important role

Now in such a situation, independents come in an important role, if 2 to 3 MLAs of other small parties leave the Thackeray government, then it will be difficult for the government to prove majority in the assembly. Two NCP MLAs in jail are also a matter of problem for the government, due to which they could not even vote in Rajya Sabha and Legislative Council elections. Now it remains to be seen in whose direction this number leans.
