Patna: Vikas Jyoti, the national spokesperson of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), said on Wednesday that on the one hand, the future of the youth is being eclipsed through Agneepath. At the same time, a democratic and elected government is being tested in Maharashtra. He said that there is no doubt that unemployment in the country will increase further due to the Agnipath scheme. He reiterated that VIP is determined to fight the battle of Nishads and youth. He said that VIPs will soon agitate for the demand of reservation for Nishads in Bihar.

Dev Jyoti said that if the growth in regular jobs remains sluggish, then a scheme like Agneepath is not likely to change the unemployment situation. Today’s youth aspire to have all the benefits of a formal job economy and quality jobs. The solution to this is massive public investment to create formal jobs, not schemes like Agneepath.

He said that the huge pool of unemployed youth basically makes labor cheap, which reduces their chances of earning more. Providing military training to unemployed youth for four years and then sending them back to the job market is not a solution, especially when the salaried jobs are not growing fast.

Mukesh Sahni’s party’s national spokesperson Dev Jyoti, while reacting to the political crisis in Maharashtra, said that it has become the destiny of the BJP to destabilize the elected state government. In a democracy, imprisoning MLAs in a hotel is telling the whole story. Let us inform that amidst the political turmoil in Maharashtra, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has left the official residence Varsha. His belongings have been shifted from the government residence to Matoshree.
