Maharashtra Politics: The rebel MLAs of Maharashtra have returned to the state after 12 days today. Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has come to Mumbai with his supporters 50 MLAs from Goa. Of these, 39 MLAs are from Shiv Sena. CM Shinde has reached Taj President Hotel with his MLAs. Eknath Shinde’s son and Shiv Sena MP Shrikant Shinde is also present at the hotel. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has also reached to meet the MLAs.
After returning to Maharashtra, now these MLAs will finally be able to go to their respective homes after 12 days. It is noteworthy that on June 21, Eknath Shinde rebelled and went to Surat in Gujarat with 25 MLAs. As soon as this news spread, there was a stir in Maharashtra. A political storm had erupted in the state. Although this was being anticipated in advance. In fact, the Uddhav Thackeray-led MVA government suffered major setbacks in the first Rajya Sabha elections in Maharashtra and then the Legislative Council elections.

The side effects of the results of these elections in Maharashtra politics were visible on 21 June when Eknath Shinde, a minister in the Maharashtra government and a Shiv Sena leader, turned rebellious. He had gone to Gujarat with about 25 MLAs. After this the rebel MLAs were shifted to Guwahati in Assam. Gradually, the number of rebel MLAs increased to 50. 9 ministers of Maharashtra government were also included in these rebels.
MVA government fell, new CM took oath
The political developments that followed resulted in the collapse of the MVA government in Maharashtra. Uddhav Thackeray resigned from the post of Chief Minister of Maharashtra. A day after this, the claim to form a new government was presented and Eknath Shinde took oath as the CM and Devendra Fadnavis took oath as the Deputy CM. The new Shiv Sena-BJP government in Maharashtra has to face a floor test on July 4. Regarding the floor test, CM Eknath Shinde had claimed that we have 170 MLAs, and are increasing. We have majority.
