Mamata Banerjee Delhi Visit: West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee will leave for Delhi on a four-day visit from today (Thursday). The Chief Minister is reaching Delhi on Thursday at 4:30 pm. She will reach Sukhendu Shekhar Roy’s residence at 7, Mahadev Road directly from the airport. Mamta Banerjee will hold a meeting with the MPs of her party Trinamool Congress here and will meet senior party leaders. Along with this, CM Mamta has sought time to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Draupadi Murmu on August 5.

CM will take part in many programs
Chief Minister and TMC chief Mamata Banerjee has many programs in Delhi. She will attend a meeting convened by the Ministry of Culture on the completion of 75 years of independence on 6 August. The primary objective of Banerjee’s visit to Delhi is to participate in the meeting of the NITI Aayog on 7 July. However, before this, Mamata Banerjee has been absent in such meetings on several occasions. He had earlier alleged that it (NITI Aayog) does not have any financial power and also it does not help state schemes. Let us inform that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will leave for Kolkata on the afternoon of 8 August.

Significantly, in the current session of Parliament, TMC MPs are fiercely opposing the central government and its policies regarding various issues including inflation. According to sources, Banerjee is scheduled to visit the Central Hall of Parliament and also meet several opposition leaders. At the same time, Mamta Banerjee can meet Congress President Sonia Gandhi. The Chief Minister of West Bengal will also meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding various issues related to the state.

The meeting was started from 2015
The Prime Minister will chair a meeting of the Governing Council of NITI Aayog on August 7 in which issues related to agriculture, health and economy will be discussed. This meeting of the council is held regularly. Its first meeting was held on 8 February 2015. Significantly, Banerjee did not attend this meeting last year.
