MCD Bulldozer: After 2 days of silence, once again the bulldozer of MCD is ready to run on illegal construction in the capital Delhi. The North Delhi Municipal Corporation has written a letter to the Delhi Police demanding 400 policemen. The North Delhi Municipal Corporation will conduct a campaign against encroachment in different wards of Sultanpuri today. Action will be taken around Peer Baba’s tomb in ward number 45 of Sultanpuri. Apart from this, encroachment will be removed in the fish market near the bus terminal number 908.

Campaign can be postponed

In the second phase of the anti-encroachment campaign, the Northern MCD has prepared a plan till May 20. The campaign will continue for two days tomorrow and day after day. On May 19, bulldozers will run in Jagdamba Market of Sultanpuri, while on May 20, action will be taken at Kataran Market in Mangolpuri. However, all this will depend on whether the Delhi Police provides security or not. MCD may have to postpone its operation if adequate security is not provided.

Municipal corporation’s bulldozer has run in North Delhi before

At the same time, a few days ago, the North Delhi Municipal Corporation took fierce action against the encroachers. The Northern Corporation took this action at three places. In this, the first action was taken to make the land encroachment free from Bangladeshi junk in Prem Nagar, while the corporation removed the illegally settled slums on the footpath from Turkman Gate to KN Katju Marg in Rohini. The place where the campaign against encroachment was carried out in Premnagar was occupied by Bangladeshi scavengers. It was the site of a playground for the children in the school. It was sold by Bangladeshi junkies to other people. The corporation cleared the land from encroachment by removing the junk from that place.

According to the corporation, with the help of 70 corporation employees and police, 3 thousand square meters area was made encroachment free in street number 6 of Premnagar. Similarly, during the drive to remove encroachment around Turkman Gate area, 22 vendors were removed with the help of 19 corporation employees and 34 items were confiscated.
