Michael Vaughan on Virat: Former England captain Michael Vaughan has advised Virat Kohli to play cricket like his old days. Vaughan has said that Virat has to show the same youthful enthusiasm and passion during his batting as he showed 10 years ago.
In a conversation with a sports website, Michael Vaughan said, ‘I hope Faf du Plessis would have talked to him (Virat Kohli) and said that you go back 10 years, when you did not have this profile. When you were not married and neither did you have a child. Think that you are going on the field to hit the ball and have fun. You forget your age and also forget what you have done till now.
Virat Kohli has been out of form for a long time. He has not been able to score a century in any format of cricket for almost three years. Kohli, who is running out of form in international cricket, is looking colorless this time in IPL as well. So far he has been able to score just 216 runs in 12 matches at a batting average of 19.63. During this, his strike rate has also been only 111.34.
Vaughan says, ‘If Virat reaches 35 runs, then he can play a long innings. He is currently struggling the most between 0 and 10 runs. If he overcomes this and shows even a little bit of youth, then he can prove to be dangerous once again.
