Jabalpur: Along with medical studies in Madhya Pradesh, students will now also learn yoga tips. Along with MBBS studies in all medical colleges of the state, students will be given 10 days yoga training. The National Medical Commission (NMC) has made yoga compulsory for students studying MBBS in medical colleges. NMC has also issued an order regarding this. Accordingly, this training will be conducted every year in June.
What does NMC order say
Preparations have started regarding this at Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Medical College, Jabalpur. Recently, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has made yoga compulsory for students studying MBBS in medical colleges. According to the circular of NMC, this training will be held every year in the month of June. The responsibility of preparing the training program for Yoga has been given to Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga under the Ministry of AYUSH. This training will be given in all the medical colleges of the state including Jabalpur, Bhopal, Gwalior, Indore, Rewa. Jabalpur Medical College has recently received the circular of NMC related to training. However, its detailed program has not come yet.
10 days training
According to the circular of NMC, the training will be of 10 days, in which there will be one hour class. This training will be done under the foundation course. According to the circular, the training will start from June 12 and end on June 21. According to Dr Navneet Saxena, Dean in-charge of Jabalpur Medical College, activities related to yoga training have been organized in the college in the past as well. Further preparation will be done as soon as the program related to training is received.
