Sachin Vaze Bail Rejected: The Special PMLA Court has refused to grant relief to Sachin Waje, a former Maharashtra Police officer. The court rejected the bail plea of ​​sacked police officer Sachin Waje in a money laundering case related to an alleged extortion case of Rs 100 crore. The matter was being probed by the ED.

The ED opposed the bail plea of ​​Sachin Waje in the court saying that former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh is an accused in this case. Sachin Waje is an important link in this whole matter. The ED opposed Waje’s bail plea saying that if Waje is granted bail, he may abscond. Not only this, the ED said in its reply that Waje is an influential person. If he is granted bail, then one who can influence the witnesses connected with the case on the basis of the strength of his money and knowledge of the direction of investigation in the case.

The reply filed by the ED said that on the behest of Anil Deshmukh, Sachin Waje met the owners of several bars in Maharashtra and asked them to pay Rs 3 lakh per month to them for playing music till late night without any restriction.

The ED said that under this conspiracy, Sachin Waje extorted about Rs 4.70 crore from the owners several times between December 2020 and February 2021. Apart from this, Waje’s name is also linked in the 2021 Antilia bomb case and businessman Mansukh Hiren murder due to illegal activities as a police officer. The ED said that Waje was being instructed by the then Home Minister Anil Deshmukh in different police matters.
