Purbalian village husband Shaukat Ali said, ‘It is a matter of great happiness that a girl from poor house of our village has won the medal. The condition of Divya’s family was once very bad. Divya’s father has also done wrestling. Due to financial condition, he could not reach there, so he got his daughter to work hard. He suffered a lot and many people of the village also supported him. We would say that a flower has blossomed from our village which is giving fragrance to the whole of India. He told that when Divya Kakran was five years old, the idea came in her father’s mind that he would make the daughter a wrestler.
