A top NIA official said that the NIA has registered a case for illegally bringing Bangladeshi Muslims and Rohingya into Indian territory by making fake documents and settling them in different parts of India. This case was registered by the NIA on 27 December 2021, taking cognizance of the matter itself. In this case, the agency had also presented a charge sheet against the six accused before the special court on June 4, 2022.
NIA got secret information
The NIA had received information that some people associated with this smuggling are hiding in different places of Uttar Pradesh. Based on the information, NIA raided some places in Uttar Pradesh today. In which the agency claims that during this raid, many incriminating documents including mobile phone, SIM card, memory card have been recovered in many digital devices.
According to the top official, during the investigation, the agency had also come to know that in this conspiracy, Majid Ullah son of Habibullah resident of Myanmar, resident of Sabila Post Mangu Arkan Myanmar is also involved. It was also learned that this person is hiding in Uttar Pradesh itself. The agency claims that during today’s raid, when raids were conducted in Deoband area of Saharanpur, a person named Majid Ulla was found hiding there.
