National Herald Case: The ED team has again reached the National Herald’s office. The ED had sent two emails to senior Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge asking him to be present in Young Indian Pvt Ltd. The search would take place in the presence of Mallikarjun Kharge. At present, no one is being allowed to enter the Herald House office. People are being allowed to enter the passport office only after seeing the appointment slip.

According to sources, the ED is looking for share pattern documents in Herald House. Who are the share holders, any foreign link of earnings? Documents related to loan of 90 crores, ED is looking for all these things. Earlier, the ED had asked Mallikarjun Kharge to be present at the Herald House of Young Indian Pvt Ltd at 12.30 pm on Thursday. Kharge was summoned because he is a key functionary of Young Indian.

Mallikarjun Kharge expressed displeasure

Regarding this, Mallikarjun Kharge said in Rajya Sabha today that I got the ED summon, they called me at 12.30 pm. I want to follow the law, but is it right for them to summon when the Parliament is in session? Is it right for the police to gherao the residences of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi? We will not be afraid, we will fight.

Young Indian office was sealed

Let us tell you that on Tuesday night, the Enforcement Directorate had raided the office of the National Herald newspaper owned by the Congress in New Delhi. After which the office of Young Indian was sealed. Young Indian is the owner of the National Herald newspaper. The ED had raided a dozen places in connection with the money laundering probe.

Congress leaders have been questioned

The ED has questioned Congress President Sonia Gandhi, her MP son Rahul Gandhi and some other Congress leaders in this case. Sonia Gandhi was questioned for over 11 hours in three rounds last month. At the same time, Rahul Gandhi was questioned for more than 50 hours in five days in June. The questioning led to protests by Congress members across the country, with senior leaders taking to the streets to condemn the ED’s action.
