Youngest President Of India: Neelam Sanjiva Reddy, the 6th President of India, was the youngest elected President of the country. Neelam Sanjeev assumed the presidency on July 25, 1977, at the age of 64. Now, for the presidential elections to be held in the year 2022, tribal leader Draupadi Murmu has been nominated by the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for the presidential election. Draupadi Murmu is also 64 years old.
Draupadi Murmu was born on 20 June 1958 in Mayurbhanj district of Odisha. Hailing from a very backward and remote district, Murmu, battling poverty and other problems, graduated in arts from Ramadevi Women’s College in Bhubaneswar and started her career as a junior assistant in the Irrigation and Power Department of the Odisha government.
Draupadi was an MLA from Rairangpur assembly constituency of Odisha in the year 2000 and 2004. She was the first woman to take oath as the Governor of Jharkhand in the year 2015. She has been the first woman tribal leader to be appointed governor. After being elected, Draupadi Murmu will be India’s first tribal president and second woman president. Apart from this, she will also be the first President from Odisha. He has spent almost two decades in politics and social service.

At the same time, Neelam Neelam Sanjiva Reddy was elected unopposed as the President. This was the first time the opposition had fielded a candidate. At the same time, something happened in 1969 that Congress defeated him in the presidential election. Reddy was the Presidential candidate from Congress during that time but Prime Minister Indira Gandhi nominated V.V. Giri was made the candidate and in the voting, Giri got most of the votes. After all this, there was a great split in the Congress party, due to which there was sympathy among the people about Reddy in 1977.
