IMA writes to Health Minister: The Indian Medical Association (IMA) has demanded the postponement of the NEET PG exam. IMA has written a letter to Health Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya requesting to postpone the examination of NEET PG 2022. NEET PG 2022 exam is to be conducted on 21st May. For the past several days, students have been demanding to postpone the exam due to the delay in NEET PG 2021 counseling.

After which now the IMA has also written a letter to the Health Minister asking him to consider extending the date of the examination. In the letter, the Indian Medical Association has said that the NEET 2021 exam was postponed for five months, after which it was conducted in September. After which the counseling of the examination was postponed till January 2022 due to OBC reservation dispute.

Exam should be postponed in view of the future of the students
The Indian Medical Association has further said in the letter that the counseling for the vacancies in the states is expected to be completed by mid-May. IMA has mentioned in the letter that 05 to 10 thousand interns, who served as corona warriors during the corona pandemic, will not be able to appear for NEET PG due to delay in completion of their exams. Therefore, keeping in view the future of the students, the NEET PG exam should be postponed for a few days.
