NEET PG Exam: The Supreme Court has turned down the demand to postpone this year’s NEET PG exam, which is going to be held on May 21. The court said that doing so would be against the interest of thousands of students preparing for the examination. It was said in the petition that the medical PG admission process of 2021 is still going on. Therefore, the 2022 exam should be postponed for some time.

In fact, the Indian Medical Association (IMA) had demanded the postponement of the NEET PG examination. IMA had written a letter to Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya requesting to postpone the examination of NEET PG 2022. Let us tell you that NEET PG 2022 exam is being conducted on 21st May. For the past several days, students were demanding postponement of the exam due to the delay in NEET PG 2021 counseling. After which the IMA also wrote a letter to the Health Minister asking him to consider extending the date of the examination.

Demand to postpone the examination in view of the future of the students

The Indian Medical Association further said in the letter that the counseling for the vacancies in the states is expected to be completed by mid-May. The IMA mentioned in the letter that 05 to 10 thousand interns, who have served as corona warriors during the corona pandemic, will not be able to appear for NEET PG due to delay in completion of their exams. Therefore, keeping in view the future of the students, the NEET PG exam should be postponed for a few days. However, the court has turned down this demand. The court said that doing so would be against the interest of thousands of students preparing for the examination.
